Step 1: Tools and Materials

Before you begin, gather the following tools and materials:
Fingerprint doorbell camera
Screwdriver (Phillips and flathead)
Drill
Drill bit (same diameter as mounting screws)
Measuring tape
Level
Mounting screws (usually included)
Silicone sealant (optional)

Step 2: Choose a Mounting Location

Select a location for the doorbell camera that meets the following criteria:
Clear view of the entrance
Within reach of your Wi-Fi network
Protected from direct sunlight and rain

Step 3: Determine Mounting Height

The optimal mounting height for a doorbell camera is typically between 48 and 60 inches (1.22-1.52 meters) from the ground.

Step 4: Mark Mounting Points

Use the mounting template (if provided) or measure and mark the location of the two mounting holes.

Step 5: Drill Pilot Holes

Drill pilot holes at the marked locations using a drill bit of the same diameter as the mounting screws.

Step 6: Insert Mounting Screws

Insert the provided mounting screws into the pilot holes and partially tighten them.

Step 7: Align and Mount Doorbell Camera

Align the doorbell camera with the mounting holes and gently slide it onto the screws.

Step 8: Tighten Screws

Fully tighten the mounting screws using a screwdriver.

Step 9: Adjust Level

Use a level to ensure that the doorbell camera is mounted horizontally. Adjust the mounting screws as needed.

Step 10: Apply Silicone Sealant (Optional)

For added protection against water and dust, apply a bead of silicone sealant around the edges of the camera base.

Step 11: Connect and Configure

Follow the manufacturer's instructions to connect the doorbell camera to your Wi-Fi network and configure its settings.

Troubleshooting

Doorbell camera does not connect to Wi-Fi
Check if your Wi-Fi network is working correctly.
Make sure the doorbell camera is within range of your Wi-Fi router.
Try resetting the doorbell camera.

Doorbell camera does not record properly
Check if there are any obstructions blocking the camera's view.
Make sure the microSD card is inserted and formatted properly.
Check the recording settings in the doorbell camera's app.

Doorbell camera is damaged
Contact the manufacturer for support.
