In this guide, we will provide step-by-step instructions on how to install memory modules on Huawei surveillance devices. Before you begin, please ensure that you have the following:
ESD-safe workstation
Anti-static wrist strap
New memory modules
Screwdriver

Step 1: Power down the device and unplug it from any power sources.

Step 2: Open the device's enclosure.

The location of the memory slots may vary depending on the device model. Consult the device's user manual for specific instructions.

Step 3: Locate the memory slots and release the retaining clips.

The retaining clips are typically located on both sides of the memory slots. Gently push the clips outward to release them.

Step 4: Remove the existing memory modules (if any).

Gently pull the memory modules upward and out of the slots.

Step 5: Align the new memory modules with the memory slots.

The memory modules have a notch that should align with the corresponding notch in the slot. Ensure that the modules are properly oriented before inserting them.

Step 6: Insert the memory modules into the slots.

Gently push down on the memory modules until they click into place. Ensure that the retaining clips engage fully.

Step 7: Close the device's enclosure.

Step 8: Power on the device and verify the memory installation.

Once the device has booted up, access the device's web interface or management software to verify that the new memory has been detected and is functioning properly.

Additional Tips:
Do not touch the gold contacts on the memory modules.
If you encounter any resistance when inserting the memory modules, do not force them. Remove the modules and ensure that they are properly aligned.
