Connection monitoring is a critical aspect of network management and security. Adding a Connection Monitor
To add a connection monitor, click on the "Add" button in the Danale Monitoring dashboard. In the "Add Monitor" dialog box, select "Connection" from the "Monitor Type" drop-down menu. Enter the following information:
Monitor Name: Enter a name for the connection monitor.
Connection Type: Select the type of connection you want to monitor. The options are TCP, UDP, and ICMP.
Host: Enter the IP address or hostname of the host you want to monitor.
Port: Enter the port number you want to monitor.
Interval: Enter the interval at which you want to monitor the connection. The options are 1 minute, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, and 30 minutes.
Click on the "Add" button to save the connection monitor.
Configuring a Connection Monitor
Once you have added a connection monitor, you can configure it to meet your specific needs. To configure a connection monitor, click on the "Edit" button next to the monitor name. In the "Edit Monitor" dialog box, you can change the following settings:

Viewing Connection Monitor Data
To view connection monitor data, click on the "Monitors" tab in the Danale Monitoring dashboard. The "Monitors" tab will display a list of all of the monitors that you have created. Click on the "View Data" button next to the connection monitor that you want to view.
The "Connection Monitor Data" page will display the following information:
Monitor Name: The name of the connection monitor.
Connection Type: The type of connection that the monitor is monitoring.
Host: The IP address or hostname of the host that the monitor is monitoring.
Port: The port number that the monitor is monitoring.
Interval: The interval at which the monitor is monitoring the connection.
Timeout: The timeout value for the connection monitor.
Retries: The number of times that the monitor will retry the connection before declaring it down.
Status: The current status of the connection.
Last Check: The date and time of the last check.
Response Time: The response time of the last check.
Troubleshooting Connection Issues
If a connection monitor is reporting a status of "Down", you can use the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:
Check the host: Make sure that the host that the monitor is monitoring is up and running.
Check the port: Make sure that the port that the monitor is monitoring is open.
Check the firewall: Make sure that the firewall on the host that the monitor is monitoring is not blocking the connection.
