IntroductionHikvision is a leading manufacturer of surveillance equipment, including hard disk drive (HDD) recorders. These recorders store video footage for later viewing, and they are typically protected by a password. If you have forgotten your Hikvision HDD recorder password, you can reset it using the following steps.
Step 1: Connect to the RecorderConnect your computer to the recorder's network port using an Ethernet cable. The network port is typically located on the back of the recorder.
Step 2: Open a Web BrowserOpen a web browser on your computer and enter the recorder's IP address in the address bar. The IP address can be found on the back of the recorder. If you don't know the IP address, you can use the Hikvision IP Finder tool to find it.
Step 3: Log In to the RecorderEnter the default username and password in the login screen. The default username is "admin" and the default password is "12345".
